Visa & Residence Permit

Visa and residence permit are important and necessary documents for exchange students. International students who are to study at CUHK(SZ) are required to enter China with an ‘X’ visa (student visa).

X1 visa: Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of more than 180 days.

X2 visa: Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of no more than 180 days.

The ‘X’ Visa is for single entry. Students must apply for a Residence Permit within 30 days after arrival in China in order to obtain a legal stay and multiply entries. Detailed information about application procedures of Residence Permit will be provided after students arrive in China.
